The Campaign for Legal Services

In 1996, following a severe reduction in federal funding for legal services, attorneys and bar associations began the Campaign for Legal Services, a fundraising effort to ensure that access to justice remains a reality. Coordinated by attorneys and law firms, the Campaign for Legal Services raises funds for the local offices of Prairie State. All funds raised go toward the client services of the local Prairie State office.

In 2005 the efforts of the members of the various Campaign for Legal Services committees and the generosity of contributors preserved access to justice for nearly 2,500 people. The need continues. The Campaign for Legal Services provides between 7% and 16% of the total funding for individual offices. Please contribute and contact your local Prairie State office about what you can do to help.
