PRAIRIE STATE LEGAL SERVICES ENGAGES THE COMMUNITY TO UNDERSTAND AND RESOLVE THE PROBLEMS THAT LOW-INCOME RESIDENTS OF NORTHERN AND CENTRAL ILLINOIS CONFRONT
Staff and volunteers meet people in schools, hospitals, social service organizations and their neighborhoods. We work on issues unique to specific populations. Through ongoing presence and participation in a variety of community settings, we earn trust, build relationships, and collaborate on advocacy to address issues of poverty and racial equity.
Prairie State Legal Services provides outreach presentations for organizations and groups in the 36 counties we serve. We can respond to requests from your group to speak on a wide range of topics and issues facing the community, depending on availability of knowledgeable staff.
