Although Prairie State lawyers have written extensively on the rights and obligations arising under various laws, we include here only our “signature” publications. These are the online guides listed below, which provide extensive, but neatly organized, information covering an assortment of different legal subject matter. These publications cover disability law, landlord-tenant law, elder law, and consumer law. In the near future, we expect to produce similar guides in the areas of family law, public benefits, and mortgage foreclosure. We update these publications, by expanding or changing their content, on a regular basis.
Disclaimer: Our publications are intended only as a general guide to certain federal and Illinois laws and programs affecting the rights and obligations of Illinois residents. They are not intended to replace the need for a lawyer to provide the kind of advice and representation that may be appropriate or necessary for your particular circumstances. Indeed, many of the laws and procedures described in our publications are complex and require experienced legal counsel.
