Get Free Help Solving Your Tax Issue at PSLS' Tax Problem Solving Day on July 29

WEST CHICAGO — Individuals who have a tax issue will have an opportunity to receive free help at PSLS’ Tax Problem Solving Day on July 29 from 9 a.m. to noon. PSLS’ West Suburban Office is hosting the event. It is located at 31W001 East North Avenue, #200 in West Chicago. The West Suburban Office serves community members who call DeKalb, DuPage, Kane or Kendall County home.

During the event, community members can:

  1. Apply for PSLS services
  2. Get help preparing past taxes, including tax year 2025
  3. Meet with staff from the Taxpayer Advocate Services (TAS)

The TAS is an independent service within the IRS. Appointments are preferred. Please call PSLS at 855-TAX-PSLS (855-829-7757) to schedule an appointment.

PSLS offers free legal services to low income persons and those older than 60 who have serious civil legal problems and need legal help to solve them. PSLS has 11 offices serving 36 counties throughout Northern and Central Illinois. All offices are accessible to people with disabilities. Free legal help is available in most languages.
